• Each Puzzle starts with few guesses and match-clues.
• Check Field, Gender, Country and Continent to see what matched(=) and what didn't (≠). Use these for deductions.
• Check first letter of your guess.
  If its Blue, its alphabetically lower than the actual name.
  If its Red, its alphabetically higher than the actual name.
  Guess a alphabetically higher or lower name with different 1st letter.
  If its Green, its correct 1st letter. Guess another name with same 1st letter.
• Refine your guess using revealed match clues.
• Repeat (until correct Mega Celebrity is identified).
• 🥚 egg means you didn't heed a previous clue. Avoid getting many eggs. Up to 10 allowed in Practice mode, 7 in Play mode and none in Pro mode.
• green flag means a clean guess (with no eggs).
• red open envelope means you lost - actual name is revealed.
• Correct Mega Celebrity is revealed after 7th try (or if you match or lose early).
• A progress bar shows how close you are to the actual match.

• A Green highlighted guessed name means actual Mega Celebrity starts with this same 1st letter.
• A Blue guessed name is alphabetically lower than the actual name. Guess a alphabetically higher name starting with different 1st letter.
• Red guessed name is alphabetically higher than the actual name. Guess a alphabetically lower name.
• Black letters reveal no clues. You can ignore them.
• For example - Tom Cruise - This means hidden name is alphabetically lower. Thus, Brad Pitt could be a good next guess.
• Correct Mega Celebrity is revealed after 7th try (or if you lose or match or give up early).

• Warm up your GuessAndMatch skills with Practice mode. Up to 10 eggs (clue errors) are allowed and you can earn a max of 10 points.
• Play is regular mode. Up to 7 eggs (clue errors) are allowed and you can earn a max of 100 points.
• Pro is advanced mode. No eggs (clue errors) are allowed but you can earn a max score of 1000 points.

• Type first 3 letters (4 letters in Pro mode) of the guessed name. In couple seconds, you will see a dropdown list of matching names. Choose from the displayed list. Don't type more than 6 letters if you wish to use autocomplete.
• Autocomplete is only available for full official names. Some names have alternate names, short names or abbreviations. Sometimes those are not shown in autocomplete list but it could still match when you submit.

Here is a autocomplete sample.

• Share the face-off link with others so that they can join the game. Link expires in 15 minutes.
• Everyone who plays using the shared face-off link gets the same hidden name to guess. See who can guess it better.
• Your time starts when you make the first guess. You don't have to start at the same time as others.
• Each player can play the face-off game in the difficulty mode they choose. For example one player can play it in Practice mode while the other can play Pro mode.
• Compare your score with others to see who won the face-off.

Select a short catchy screenname for yourself with a max length of 15 characters and no special characters. Your username can be shared publicly so please be mindful.

Optionally, you can leave it as blank. If you don't select a username, it will appear as 'Unnamed'.

We may use your screename/username to display it publicly on the leaderboards, game replays and on other public features as required. By adding a screenname you are consenting to the public display of your screename and game plays. You can leave the screenname as blank if you don't want your screenname to be shared publicly.
